A multitude of small beings made in wedges for canvas, the feet cast in concrete walk irreparably towards the abyss waiting for them. Without a head, they do not see the chasm and despair they are committing. They are nothing, but they are not aware of it.
I decided to titrate this work "Them out of History" in reference to an article by Roland Recht in the Journal des Arts (N ° 335 of 19 November 2010). In this article, Mr. Recht refers to artists as "Sunday painter" or “easel painter". Understanding that their activity has no influence on the course of the world.
The installation thus realized tried to personify these artist, without the head and therefore without thought, the feet anchored in cement, symbolizing their inability to move forward. The work questions the ability of oblivion, collective memory, the local impact of a man on the globalization of our society.
